This client in Central Mass felt that her 20 year old kitchen was dated, and, in urgent need of a renovation since the cabinets were starting to fall apart. While updating, she wanted to have more counter space around the stove area.
Factotum designed the new kitchen area and presented the kitchen design proposal to the client.
The client was delighted with our design suggestions and plan, and, quickly, gave us the go ahead!
We removed the tall pantry cabinet that was to the left of the refrigerator, and move the refrigerator down into that space. Moving the refrigerator farther down that wall created more space in the range area. We centered the new stove in that enlarged counter area. Then the cabinet area above including the microwave was centered over the new stove to complete that section of the kitchen.
The single overhead kitchen light was replaced with recessed lighting strategically placed in the main kitchen area. The client is particularly delighted with how the recessed light over the sink plays against the backsplash to create the illusion of natural light!
Sleek black granite countertops, a crisp white farmer’s sink, and the shiny white subway tile backsplash completed the clean modern look the client was going for.
